Leagues Night of Nights

The Dally M Awards evening took place last night which saw the race between three top gun players who were all in close contention for the afamed prize of the Dally M medal. With West Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall as favourite as the other two players North Queensland Cowboys halfback Jonathon Thurston and Melbourne Storms fullback Billy Slater both had indents during the season which could of cost them a few vital points. Thurston's being from the injury he suffered from in game threes state of origin which put him out for a good part of the season and Slater's resting during the Sydney Roosters thumping.
